Boyd Periodically instructs through outfitters and well-known paddling schools as a guest instructor. These trips are typically a week long and include all lodging, meals, and logistics. Each is unique and they tend to fill up fast - 2 Ottawa weeks, for example, filled in 45 minutes.

Offering two different weeks, one advanced and one intermediate, Boyd occasionally partners up with Wilderness Tours for a week of big water, big waves, and big fun. For the Intermediate Week, you must be an intermediate kayaker, comfortable on class III, and have a solid roll in whitewater. For the Advanced Week, you need to be extremely solid with your roll, comfortable on class IV, comfortable surfing, and ready to push your limits on one of the biggest and most friendly playgrounds in the world.
