You can find free instruction through local events and paddling clubs, affordable instruction through regional ACA instructors, and better instruction through quality outfitters and paddling schools. But the highest quality instruction is from a professional instructor like Boyd, and it provides a significant shortcut to learning and results. It's an investment in yourself, your longevity, and in your enjoyment on the river.
Boyd offers private instruction on a limited basis. If you are motivated to get better at kayaking and interested in booking with Boyd for private instruction, he typically offers a few different options that include one-on-one and small group instruction.
Concierge Instruction:
In certain circumstances, high profile clients need privacy while learning to kayak or have circumstances that require an instructor willing to travel to them or with them. Boyd considers these on a case by case basis, while protecting his client confidentiality.

$100 - Local Rolling Sessions in Nashville, TN - (2 hr cap)
$300 - Entry-Level Whitewater Instruction in Nashville, TN - (3 hr cap)
$300 - Entry-Level Freestyle Instruction in Murfreesboro or Rock Island, TN (3 hr cap)
$600 - Whitewater River Running or Creeking Session - (5 hr cap) *travel fees may apply
$400/person - TN Small Group Instruction (2-5 people) - (5 hr cap) *travel fees may apply
$5000 - Full Day Custom Group Instruction - great for club events, parks, & fundraisers
